At the heart of this experience are two unforgettable days with Alonzo, an exceptional local guide I met last summer and knew I had to return. Together, you’ll explore the rainforest by day and night, snorkel vibrant coral reefs, and visit an indigenous chocolate farm—an experience that stays with you long after you leave.

Day One: Cahuita National Park & Reef

Begin where rainforest meets the Caribbean Sea with a guided walk through Cahuita National Park, spotting monkeys, sloths, and colorful birdlife along the Caribbean coast. Transition from jungle to ocean with a boat-access snorkeling experience over protected coral reefs, then complete the day with a scenic coastal trail showcasing the park’s diverse ecosystems.

Day Two: Culture, Waterfall & Night Jungle

Immerse yourself in the region’s culture with a hands-on indigenous chocolate experience, followed by time at a secluded rainforest waterfall—perfect for swimming and unwinding. As evening falls, venture back into the jungle on a guided night walk, discovering the fascinating nocturnal wildlife that brings the forest to life.

The rest of your time is intentionally open—designed for you to settle into the rhythm of the Caribbean coast.
